1. Drink Lots of water! 1/2 -1 gallon a day. I use a 2.2 liter bottle that I drink 1-2 of each day. This will hydrate every cell in your body and bring life back into your body. Do this every day and you will notice a difference in your overall health, digestion as well as energy level and skin quality. Most of us live our lives very dehydrated so getting that hydration back is the #1 key to our fitness success! When you see a plant that hasn't been watered, you know it looks lifeless and void. The same goes for us, only we get used to this state of dehydration and learn to live with it. Let’s relearn what it feels like to be healthy. Hydrate!

Water is your first step to success!!! Sounds easy enough, right? Being hydrated also fills us up and takes away those hunger pangs. When hungry, drink water first and wait 10 minutes. Most of the time that we feel hungry we are actually just thirsty.

Remember; drink all of your water at least 2 hours before bedtime! If you want to learn this the hard way try drining a quart of water a hour before bedtime, I promise you will only do this once:-)

I find it easiest to have 1 bottle that I use every day. Knowing how many of those bottles I have to drink each day really makes keeping count easy. My 2.2 liter jug keeps me on track. I can pour it into a glass from the jug but at least I know when it is empty, I have given my body what it needs. It was too hard for me to remember how many glasses I drank each day, so for me the jug is my key to success. Find out what works for you and don't give up.

If you have access to filtered or purified water use it. Britta filters are a great and fairly inexpensive way to have filtered water, but use what you can afford. Tap water is better than no water. You may also check at your local grocery store for self-fill purified water. You bring the containers and fill yourself-this can be an inexpensive way to drink higher quality water for very little money. 4-7 gallons a week should be your goal!

Have fun and take note of how your body and mind respond to wonderful and simple water. It may take 4-7 days for your body to get used to this quantity of water, so give it a chance! We all have toxins inside so increasing your water intake may get these little buggers stirred up. It is a very good thing to get them out, but you may notice some "detox" symptoms such at upset stomach, dizziness and other flu like symptoms. Just keep drinking a lot and in several hours to several days you should have a new lease on life!
